Welcome back to the Right To Roam podcast! Chris, Adam and Lee are joined by Chase Gunnell from Conservation Northwest. Chase serves as the communications director for CN as well as serving as the Conservation Chair for the Washington chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. As a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest with familial roots that precede him by several generations, Chase is a wealth of knowledge and on the ground experience when it comes to public land issues and wildlife management goings on in the far corner of the contiguous U.S. This conversation covers Secretary Zinke’s public support of reintroduction/expansion efforts of grizzly bears in the northern Cascades, “elk” season in the spring, and hints at the viability of the elusive sasquatch!
The guys also announce the 3rd Grand Prize winner associated with the Go Fund Me campaign. Someone will be having a great, one-of-a-kind bow built by our own Sam Lockwood! If you would still like to get your name in the hat for our 4th and final Grand Prize (the Seek Outside LBO w/ annex,) there’s still time as that drawing will take place on the 21st of June. Thanks for listening, don’t forget to subscribe and please leave a rating and review on whichever medium you access the R2R podcast. Happy Trails!
